Train to Sofia / As febras

We promised to our bulgarian friends that we would write in english about our nice trip to Bulgaria, so here we go!
We met them pretty soon after the train started moving since they were right on the next compartment. At first I thought they were romanian, but it turned out that they were bulgarian. Great, we thought! Now we'll have local guides for visiting Sofia! :D Our newest friends names were Nina, Dora and Iva; They taught us the cyrillic alphabet, or at least they tried, we were a bit lousy students :P. I also have to say that Nina forgot two of the thirty letters in the alphabet, so she has to go back to the first grade :))))) They also wrote our names in cyrillic!
We also learned how to say "Thank you", which is quite complicated, and therefore it is usual to say "merci". We also learned "da" for "yes" and "ne" for "no". The funniest thing is that bulgarian people shake their heads when they mean yes and nod when they mean no. For me it seemed that they were kidding me whenever they answered one thing speaking and the opposite with the head!

A photo of all of us (clockwise sense): Нина, Дора, Ива, Руи and 3/4 of Жоао :D

Overall, the trip was very nice and we had a nice view over the Danube and also over the fields.
Joao had no problems at the borders, although he was carrying some drugs and organs.
